2 Wishes for Colorado Moms on Mother’s Day

2 Wishes for Colorado Moms on Mother's Day

You give of yourself until there’s little left to give, then you find within yourself the ability to give more. You are the CEO of the home. A teacher, nurse, chef, housekeeper, bookkeeper, chauffeur and cheerleader. Your work is never done.

You are a mom.

This Mother’s Day, I have two wishes for you.

1. Be brave.

Find the courage within to share your dreams, desires and goals with all who are close to you. Do you know what your dreams and goals are? If not, take the time to find out. Do a personal inventory of who you are now. Then, think about and decide who and where you want to be in the future.

You are worth it. We so often get caught up in the rush of the day-to-day and forget to think about ourselves and our own dreams. Be courageous. Be brave and do it for you. No one else can.

2. Be strong.

It takes inner strength to think about what it is we personally need or want in life. Our own dreams and desires are always competing with those of our little loved ones, our children. I wish for you to take your inner drive, the one you always use to give more to your children, and use this drive for yourself. You are worth all of your efforts. Answer this question, "What are you fighting for?" Then stand up, be strong, and achieve your dreams.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Molly is a stay-at-home mother of two who spends time in Golden, CO, with family, writing, gardening, bicycling, knitting, reading, and of course being active every day.
